Privacy Policy
How we handle your personal data.
1. Who is responsible
The controller for the processing of personal data on this website, within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is:
Verein für Wasserqualität und Qualitätsstandards
Buchenweg 4, 8502 Lannach, Austria
ZVR-Zahl: 1193454130
E-mail: info@premiumwatercertified.com
We have not appointed a data protection officer, as this is not required for our organisation. For any question about your data, please contact us at the address above.
2. Visiting this website
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When you visit the website, the server automatically processes technical data that your browser sends, such as your IP address, the date and time of your visit, the page requested, the referring page and your browser type. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and to protect it against misuse.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Netlify processes this data on our behalf. Netlify is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and also uses the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers outside the EU.
3. Cookies, analytics and fonts
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The fonts are stored on our own server, so no data is sent to font providers when you visit the website.
Third-party content, such as the scheduling tool described below, is only loaded after you choose to load it.
4. Scheduling a consultation (Calendly)
On our consultation page you can choose to load a scheduling tool provided by Calendly LLC, 115 E Main St, Ste A1B, Buford, GA 30518, USA. The tool is only loaded after you click to load it. Calendly may then set cookies and process data such as your IP address and browser details.
If you book a call, Calendly processes the details you enter (for example your name, e-mail address and any information about your property) on our behalf, so that we can plan and hold the conversation.
Legal basis: your consent for loading the tool (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act), and steps prior to entering into a contract at your request for the booking itself (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by not loading the tool again and deleting the cookies in your browser. Calendly is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and uses Standard Contractual Clauses as a fallback.
5. Contact by e-mail
If you contact us by e-mail, we process the details you send us (such as your name, e-mail address and message) to answer your question.
Our e-mail is provided by Google Workspace, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, which processes e-mails on our behalf. Data may also be processed by Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
6. Applying for certification
When you apply for certification, you send us the details of your property and contact person, photos of the installed systems and a photo of your property. Enagic distributors may send this application on behalf of their clients; in that case the distributor is responsible for informing the property about this.
We use this information to review the application, create your personalised badge and marketing materials, manage your membership of the association and carry out the yearly check. If your property is certified, we may show its name, type, location and badge on our website and, once available, on the Premium Water Map.
Legal basis: performance of the certification agreement and membership (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Publication on the map is part of the certification; if you do not want your property to be listed, let us know.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Enquiries that do not lead to certification are deleted after at most 12 months. Data about certified properties is kept for as long as the certification and membership last, and afterwards only as long as we are legally required to keep it, for example for accounting purposes (in Austria generally 7 years).
8. Sharing your data
We do not sell your data. We only share it with service providers that process data on our behalf (our hosting provider Netlify, our e-mail provider Google Workspace and Calendly), and with the Enagic distributor who referred you, where this is needed to handle your certification. We may also share data where we are legally required to do so.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, and to have it corrected, deleted or restricted. You also have the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before.
To use any of these rights, send an e-mail to info@premiumwatercertified.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.

This website contains links to other websites, such as the Molecular Hydrogen Institute. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites.
11. Changes
We may update this privacy policy when our website or services change. The latest version is always available on this page.
